Colors

Atlas Copco has a defined color palette that includes primary colors with tints and shades, an accent color, and extended accent colors.

Primary colors

Atlas Copco blue is the main color; it helps identify the brand and harmonizes with the classic logotype. It is to be used sparingly for elements that attract attention and is a statement of the Atlas Copco brand. Gray is used to make text visible and create contrast against lighter tones. Beige is used for backgrounds and various branded elements, while white is the default background color for both digital and print media.

Tints and shades

A tint is created by mixing a color with white, resulting in a lighter version of the color, while a shade is created by mixing a color with black, making it darker. The tints and shades are created from the primary colors. It should be used strategically to enhance contrast, depth, and balance within the visual hierarchy, ensuring clarity and emphasis where needed.

Accent color

Yellow should be only used as an accent color, as its strong presence can easily overwhelm other colors if not applied carefully.

Extended accent colors

We have five extended accent colors: peach, red, purple, green, and blue. These colors should be used only in special cases, such as illustrations and complex graphics. It is important to use them carefully to enhance small design elements, ensuring they never dominate the primary colors. In any case, make sure they do not overpower the design.

Color accessibility

To ensure optimal readability, select text colors for headings and body text that provide sufficient contrast against the background. Refer to the specified color codes for accurate pairings with primary colors, always prioritizing strong contrast for maximum visibility.
