Motion graphics

Atlas Copco's motion graphics guidelines ensure our brand’s identity is clear and consistent in all animated content. These templates bring energy and rhythm to our videos, strengthening storytelling and reinforcing brand recognition.

Before you start

Before you start working on the (.morgt) files, ensure your system is updated with the latest software and right typeface.

  • Software: Make sure you have the latest versions of Adobe After Effects and Adobe Premiere Pro. For best results, use Adobe Premiere Pro when working with the templates.

  • Typeface: When working with templates in Adobe After Effects or Premiere Pro, please ensure that you download and install all the fonts listed below directly onto your system. This helps avoid any missing font issues or warning messages when opening the templates.

For detailed information and download links, refer to the Typeface section.
(Typefaces activated through Adobe Fonts may not always be compatible with these templates. For best results, we recommend downloading and installing the typefaces locally on your system.)

These are the typefaces used in the templates:

  1. Source Sans Pro (English)
  2. Noto Sans CJK SC (Simplified Chinese)
  3. Noto Sans CJK TC (Traditional Chinese)
  4. Yu Gothic UI (Japanese)
  5. Malgun Gothic (Korean)
  6. Calibri (Arabic)

General guidelines

Atlas Copco brand templates offer a variety of customization options for logotype cutouts and colors. While these customizations are useful, it’s essential to maintain consistent concepts in the motion templates.

  • Using the Intro template is optional and can be applied as needed. However, all videos must end with the Outro. You can choose between an outro with a message or the short version.

  • Choose one of the three available color options and customize it as needed.
  • Maintain a consistent color scheme throughout a single video. If you choose the blue color scheme, make sure to use the blue intro, pair it with the blue outro, blue nametag, blue supers, etc. Do not mix different colored templates in the same video.

  • Choose the appropriate motion template colors based on the look and feel of the video to ensure accessibility and consistency with the brand identity.

  • When selecting stock videos or during brand shoot productions, ensure that you adhere to the principles outlined in the Images section. This will help you choose the most appropriate videos for your film.
  • Once you sync the libraries, you will find all components in the Graphics Templates panel. Adjust the length of the graphics to your preference, synchronizing the out-point with the underlying video clip or using a short dissolve.

  • Aim for short headlines, with a maximum of 20 characters per line.

  • Always keep text-based templates, such as nametags, supers, etc., within the action-safe margin.

How to use

The templates (.morgt) are fully compatible with Premiere Pro.

Templates in Adobe Premiere Pro

  1. Once you have the template synced in your Adobe Creative Cloud library you will see all the templates in the Graphics Templates panel in Premiere. (If the Graphics Templates panel is not visible, go to ‘Window > Graphics Templates’ to open the panel.)
  2. Drag the template from Graphics Templates (My Templates tab) (A) into the Timeline (C).
  3. Double click the template in the Timeline (C). This will open the editable properties in the Properties (B) window.
  4. Edit properties in the Properties window (B). Empty text fields will not appear in the final layout shown in the Program Monitor (D).
  5. All changes will appear in the Program Monitor (D). Play it through to check for errors in the text’s content or the animation.

Templates

Maintain consistent template colors throughout the video. Do not mix different template colors in one single video.

Intro

Start the video with an intro, or place it after a short, attention-grabbing sequence. You have two logotype cutout options to choose from, each available in three color variations for added customization.

Note: Overlap the last 1 second of the Intro template with your footage so that the footage is revealed through the logotype cutout. Then, the logotype cutout should zoom out, as shown in the example below.

Outro

The Outro is a mandatory template that must be used at the end of all videos. It ensures each video is recognized as part of the brand. The Outro is available in two variations: Outro with message and Outro short. Both are available in the three primary colors.

Note: Overlap the first 1.5 seconds of the Outro template with the final footage of your film, so the footage is revealed through the logotype cutout. Then, the logotype cutout should zoom out to reveal the logotype, as shown in the example below.

Outro with message

Outro with message offers a more impactful ending for films, featuring four customizable messages with multiple color variations.

Nametag

To introduce a person with their name and title in the video, we use Nametag. The text fields are editable and auto-adjust to fit the different types of text on the Nametag. It is available in two logotype cutout options and three color variations.

Supers

Supers can be used to highlight text throughout your videos. Add your text, and the band will automatically adjust to its width. Use a maximum of two lines and aim to keep the messaging short and concise. Supers are available in three color options.

Subtitles

To improve accessibility and viewer engagement, all videos should include subtitles. For platforms like YouTube or LinkedIn, we recommend uploading subtitles natively using SRT files - this ensures better performance and flexibility. The provided subtitle templates can be used when subtitles need to be embedded directly into the video.

Transition

Basic editing transitions like fade, cuts, dissolves, etc., are allowed in the videos. Transition templates have been created to align with the brand’s visual identity and are available in three colors. Avoid customizing or creating new shapes—use the provided transition templates wherever needed.

YouTube end screen

YouTube end screen template can be embedded in your video after the Outro. This will provide placeholders for the next or recommended video, as well as a spot for the channel logo, guiding viewers to additional content instead of ending the interaction after the video. It is available in three color variants.
