Use of AI-generated content in a responsible way
The Atlas Copco brand is committed to ethical innovation and upholding brand integrity, while recognizing the potential of AI tools to enhance creativity. However, their use must align with the values of the Atlas Copco brand and should be used responsibly. AI tools must never be used to deceive customers or stakeholders. Only approved AI tools and platforms may be used for company-related work. Any request to use new AI tools must be reviewed by Group IT.
AI-generated images
For the Atlas Copco brand, AI-generated images are used to convey a sense of innovation and technology. These images typically feature intriguing patterns, metallic surfaces, and various textures. Each AI-generated image must be thoroughly reviewed and selected by a responsible communications professional.
Refer to Images to know more about AI-generated images.
Commercial use
Before using any AI-generated assets commercially, you must verify that the output is licensed for commercial use. Only use company-approved AI generation tools. Additionally, ensure that your prompt does not request content inspired by copyright-protected material.
Never use AI-generated images of people
The use of AI-generated images depicting people (realistic or fictional) is not allowed for the Atlas Copco brand. Such AI-generated images misrepresent authenticity and may unintentionally reinforce stereotypes or biases. This includes portraits, images of people in action, and deepfake-style content.
AI-generated text and translations
The use of AI-generated content and translations is permitted, provided that an approved AI tool (by Group IT) is used. AI-generated texts and translations must align with our brand tone, language style, and messaging guidelines.
However, all AI-generated content—whether text or translations—must be reviewed and approved by a professional before being published or used externally. This includes checks for tone, accuracy, legal risks, brand consistency, and factual correctness.
Ethical guidelines
Transparency and ethical considerations
- When applicable, clearly disclose when content has been generated or assisted by AI. Do not use AI to imitate specific individuals’ voices, writing styles, or identities without their explicit consent.
- Be mindful of potential bias or misinformation in AI-generated outputs, and ensure all content is thoroughly fact-checked before publication.
Do not share confidential or sensitive information
- Never input, share, or reference internal, confidential, or proprietary information—such as business strategies, customer data, product details, financial information, or employee-related data—when using AI tools.
- AI systems may retain or learn from input data. Disclosing sensitive information puts the company at risk of data breaches or IP leakage.
